§1 Introduction
LAST UPDATED — AUG 20, 2026Triskel Clay LLC ("we," "us," "our") runs triskelceramics.com (the "Site") from our studio at 101 Bennington St, East Boston, Massachusetts. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It applies to everyone who visits the Site, sends a quote request, or uses optional live chat.
The honest headline: this site is a catalog and a quote builder, with a Termly cookie banner and an optional tawk.to chat widget. There is no checkout, no account system, no newsletter form and no advertising. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. What we do collect is described below, exactly.
§2 Information we collect
SHORT, BECAUSE WE COLLECT LITTLEThe quote builder at /custom sends us exactly what you type: your name (required), your email address (required), a company or organization name (optional) and any free-text notes you add (optional). It also sends the configuration you built — piece, glaze, quantity, stamp and rush options — plus the ticket reference number stamped on your quote. Optional live chat can add whatever you type there, as in §2.5. Hosting logs and Termly consent records are described next.
Our hosting provider's servers process standard connection logs — your IP address, browser user-agent and timestamps — to keep the Site secure and debug problems. We run no first-party analytics, no advertising pixels and no fingerprinting. The 3D renders are generated locally in your own browser, and our typefaces for the site itself are self-hosted. Termly's consent manager loads on every visit. If you accept Performance and Functionality, tawk.to can process chat and visitor-session data as described in §2.5.
We do not buy lists from social networks, advertisers, or data brokers. Termly and tawk.to process information as service providers when those tools run — Termly for consent, tawk.to for optional chat after you accept that category. They are not selling us marketing profiles.
This site uses cookies and similar storage. Termly records your consent choice. Optional tawk.to chat storage runs only after you accept Performance and Functionality. One first-party sessionStorage flag, tskNav, is essential for the page-transition animation. There are no marketing or advertising cookies. Details live in the table below and on the cookie policy.
| TYPE | NAME & PURPOSE | DURATION |
|---|---|---|
| Essential SESSION STORAGE — NOT A COOKIE | tskNav — a transient flag that tells the page-transition animation where it is going. Holds no personal data. | Deleted when you close the tab |
| Essential TERMLY CMP | Termly consent record — stores Accept, Decline, or granular category choices so the banner can honor them on later pages. | Until you change or withdraw the choice, or Termly's CMP expiry |
| Performance and Functionality OPTIONAL — TERMLY BLOCKS UNTIL ACCEPTED | tawk.to live chat — cookies, local/session storage, and a WebSocket used to run the widget. Not essential to browsing the catalog. | While the widget is active; provider cookies per tawk.to |
| Analytics | None of ours — no Google Analytics, pixels, or heatmaps. tawk.to visitor-session monitoring is not first-party analytics and waits for the optional category. | — |
| Marketing | None — no advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking. | — |
If you accept Performance and Functionality, tawk.to can collect chat messages and any name, email, or other details you type into the widget; IP address; browser and device data; pages viewed during the session; approximate location; and timestamps. tawk.to states that an active widget can begin a visitor session even when you do not send a message. We use that for studio questions, troubleshooting, and follow-up — not for ads. Do not submit card details or highly sensitive information in chat. Withdraw the category in , then reload, to stop future loading. Deleting an existing transcript is handled through tawk.to's dashboard process on request to hello@triskelceramics.com.
§3 How we use your information
LAST UPDATED — AUG 20, 2026Answering your quote request and corresponding about specs — including, if you use it, optional live chat. Making and delivering the work you order. Keeping the order and tax records the law requires. Sending the seconds-sale announcement — about twice a year, only if you asked to hear about it, and every send carries a working unsubscribe link. Running the Termly consent manager so optional tools stay blocked until you accept them. And keeping the Site itself secure, through the hosting logs described in §2.
Advertising, profiling, marketing lists that didn't come straight from you, or anything else not named in 3.1. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
| PURPOSE | LEGAL BASIS |
|---|---|
| Answering your quote request, then making and delivering your work | Contractual necessity — steps you ask us to take toward a contract, then performance of it |
| Keeping order and tax records | Legal obligation — Massachusetts and U.S. tax law |
| Seconds-sale announcements | Consent — you opt in, and can withdraw any time via the unsubscribe link |
| Server connection logs | Legitimate interest — keeping the Site secure and debuggable |
| Termly consent banner and AutoBlocker | Legal obligation / legitimate interest — asking before optional storage; remembering the choice |
| Optional tawk.to live chat | Consent — Performance and Functionality in Termly; withdraw any time in Cookie Settings |
§5 Data retention
LAST UPDATED — AUG 20, 2026| DATA | KEPT FOR | WHY |
|---|---|---|
| Quote-form details — name, email, organization, notes, configuration, ticket reference — from people who never place an order | Until you ask us to delete them | So we can answer you, and pick the thread back up if you return |
| Order and tax records for completed orders | Up to 7 years | Massachusetts and U.S. tax law |
| Seconds-sale list — name and email | Until you unsubscribe | Consent-based announcements, about twice a year |
| Hosting connection logs — IP address, user-agent, timestamps | A short, rolling period set by our hosting provider | Security and debugging |
| Termly consent records | Until you change or withdraw the choice, or Termly's CMP expiry | Honor Cookie Settings on later visits |
| tawk.to chat transcripts and visitor-session data | While the conversation is useful for follow-up, then deleted on request or per tawk.to's retention for the property | Answer studio questions you chose to send in chat |
§6 Data security
LAST UPDATED — AUG 20, 2026Every page is served over HTTPS/TLS, so your quote travels encrypted. The order book is accessible only to the people who work in the studio. There is no account database and no stored payment information — we never see a card number — so the usual big targets simply don't exist here.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. Our main defense is collecting almost nothing in the first place — you can't leak what you never kept.
§7 Your rights under GDPR
EEA / UK · HONORED VOLUNTARILYThe Site is operated from the United States by a small Massachusetts studio, so the GDPR does not squarely apply to us. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we honor its rights voluntarily anyway, because they are good manners. You have:
Right of access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — have us correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to erasure — the "right to be forgotten": ask us to delete your personal data.
Right to restrict processing — have us limit how we use your data while a question is settled.
Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before.
Right to lodge a complaint — complain to your local Data Protection Authority.
To exercise any of these, email hello@triskelceramics.com or call +1 (857) 382-6425. We respond within 30 days. Where tax law obliges us to keep order records, an erasure request deletes everything else, and we'll tell you exactly what must stay and when it goes. You may also lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority at any time — though we'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.
§8 Your rights under CCPA / CPRA
CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS · DO NOT SELL LIVES HERECalifornia's CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, gives California residents specific rights over their personal information. Here they are, plus exactly how to use them. The "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer points to this section.
Right to know — what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and a copy of the specific pieces we hold about you.
Right to delete — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as tax records.
Right to correct — have us fix inaccurate personal information.
Right to opt out of sale or sharing — direct us not to sell or share your personal information. There is nothing to opt out of here: we do not sell or share personal information at all.
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we collect no sensitive personal information, so this right has nothing to attach to.
Right to non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Email hello@triskelceramics.com, call +1 (857) 382-6425, or write to Triskel Clay LLC, 101 Bennington St, East Boston, MA 02128. We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days; if we need more time, we'll tell you, and we may take one 45-day extension. We may need to verify it's really you — for us that usually means replying from the email address on the quote. You may use an authorized agent; we'll ask for proof of the agent's permission.
| CCPA CATEGORY | STATUS | WHAT IT MEANS HERE |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers — real name, email address | COLLECTED | The quote form's name and email fields; organization name if you give one |
| Commercial information | COLLECTED | Quote configurations, order and purchase records |
| Internet or other electronic network activity | LIMITED | Hosting logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps). If optional chat is accepted, tawk.to may process pages viewed during that session. No first-party analytics or click-tracking product. |
| Geolocation data | NOT COLLECTED | We don't ask, and connection logs aren't used to locate you |
| Audio, electronic, visual or similar information | NOT COLLECTED | — |
| Professional or employment-related information | NOT COLLECTED | The optional organization field is a contact detail, not an employment record |
| Education information | NOT COLLECTED | — |
| Inferences drawn from personal information | NOT COLLECTED | We build no profiles |
| Sensitive personal information | NOT COLLECTED | No government IDs, precise location, account credentials or similar |
Sale or sharing, plainly: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months, and we have no plans to start. If that ever changes, this page — and the footer link that lands here — will change first.
§9 Children's privacy
LAST UPDATED — AUG 20, 2026The Site is not intended for children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. It's a stoneware catalog, and experience says the audience is adults with kitchens. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us at hello@triskelceramics.com.
§10 International data transfers
LAST UPDATED — AUG 20, 2026The Site is operated from the United States. Quote details, hosting logs, and studio email are processed here (and on our US-region hosting/email providers). Termly and tawk.to are independent providers that may process consent records, chat, and related technical data in the United States and other countries where they operate. If you visit from another country, information you send us — and information those providers process after you accept optional categories — may cross borders, and U.S. or provider-country law may differ from protections at home. We honor the GDPR rights in §7 voluntarily for EEA and UK visitors. Reopen Cookie Settings to withdraw optional chat; that does not erase a message you already sent unless you also ask us to delete it.
§11 Changes to this policy
LAST UPDATED — AUG 20, 2026This page changes only when our practices change. When it does, we post the updated policy here and update the "Last Updated" date at the top; for material changes we'll flag the edit plainly at the top of the page. Check back occasionally if you're curious. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
